This is the shortest way to do Cappadocia properly from Istanbul, and it is built around the balloon. You fly out in the afternoon, so the first day costs you nothing but an evening, and sleep in a cave hotel. The balloons go up at sunrise and you are on one of them, then you come down to breakfast and spend the rest of the day on the ground: the rock-cut churches of the Goreme Open Air Museum, the underground city at Kaymakli, the fairy chimneys of Pasabag and the valleys around Uchisar and Avanos. In the evening you fly back to Istanbul.

What to expect

• This is a private tour. Only you and your own group take part.
• The itinerary is flexible. You can change the route and set the start and end times to suit you.
• The flight to Cappadocia is in the afternoon. Our team meets you at the airport and drives you to your hotel for the night.
• Accommodation is one night in a boutique cave hotel, based on a standard double room.
• Breakfast at the hotel and lunch with a soft drink on the touring day are included.
• All entrance tickets on the route are included.
• Domestic flights are economy class with Turkish Airlines, Pegasus Airlines or AJet Airlines, according to availability. Baggage allowance is 8 kg cabin and 15 kg checked baggage (23 kg in total).

Good to know before you book

• The balloon flight is not included in the price. Balloon prices change from day to day, so we email you the current price once you book.
• As you spend one night in Cappadocia, there is one chance to fly. Flights depend on the weather and are cleared each morning by the civil aviation authority. If that morning is cancelled it cannot be moved to another day on this tour, and you receive a full refund for the balloon ticket.
• If the balloon matters to you above everything else, our 2-day version gives you the same tours with a second morning in reserve.
• This tour does not include assistant services at airports. The driver drops you at the terminal entrance, and you proceed to your gate after checking in your luggage.
• The tour ends in Istanbul. You are back at your Istanbul hotel around 23:00 on the second day.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours before the tour start date and receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start date are non-refundable.
